About Matilda
Matilda is an early-stage company working with school districts, charter networks, and school administrative teams on the operational work that keeps a school running — student data, budgeting, master scheduling, evaluations, and the paperwork underneath all of it.
We’re building toward an edtech company, and we decided to do the work before building the tools. Rather than guess at what school operations teams need, we’re spending this summer embedded with them — learning the realities of K‑12 operations from the inside, and delivering something useful while we’re there.
That shapes how we engage. We partner with a team for four to eight weeks, pick one or more high-priority workflows together, and work toward a concrete deliverable — a cleaned-up data process, a dashboard, an internal tool, an SOP, an integration, or a document workflow. We work on whatever your team is comfortable with. The goal is to augment, not distract. See the areas we work in.
